Public libraries are constantly embarking on opportunities to create new ways for their patrons to expand their horizons. We are always ready to jump at the chance to become your “window to the world.” We are excited to announce that the Natrona County Library will be joining a handful of public libraries nationwide in becoming a Passport Acceptance Facility.
Passport Acceptance Facilities are locations that accept applications on behalf of the U.S. Department of State to begin the application process in obtaining your first official U.S. Passport. The Library will be the second location in Natrona County and the first public library in the state to provide this service. A team of library personnel have been trained as Passport Agents, ready to help you beginning in January. You will be able to apply for your passport book and/or passport card at our location with an option for expedite services.
Passport services will be available by appointment any time during our operational hours. Once you book an appointment, a Passport Agent will be on hand to help you fill out and file the paperwork, putting you one step closer to becoming a jetsetter. Apart from walking you through the application process, we will also be taking passport pictures on site for an additional fee. We are so delighted to be providing this service. Getting your passport is an exciting moment, and we are thrilled to be able to assist our community members in this monumental process. For more information on how this service will work, you can give us a call and speak to a Passport Agent or check our Passport Service page. We look forward to being your partner in exciting international travel!
