Annabel Greene’s life is far from perfect. But to everyone else, she is a girl who has it all – at least, that’s how it seems on TV commercials. Funny how the big screen can make things that are so fake, seem so real. Her friendship with her best friend Sophie ended bitterly, leaving her alone and friendless at the beginning of a new school year. Her sister Whitney’s eating disorder is weighing down the entire family. This causes Annabel to fear speaking out about her past and her lack of enthusiasm for modeling. In the midst of it all, she meets Owen – a music obsessed, intense classmate who is determined to tell the truth, after taking an Anger Management class. With his help, Annabel may start facing her fears – and more importantly, speaking the truth herself.
I chose this book because I have read some of Sarah Dessen’s other novels and really enjoyed them.
I finished the novel because I was intrigued by the mystery of what would happen next.
I would give this book to anyone looking for a fun, easy read.
I give this book three stars! *** (Liked it)
