Minors (under 18) must have a parent or guardian accompany them to sign an application form. Parents will need to present photo ID with proof of address in the county. Please note: parents are responsible for any fees associated with their minor child’s card. See ourĀ Note to Parents for more details on children’s use of the public library.


Several computers are available in the children’s department, featuring interactive stories and games, word processing software and filtered Internet access. Filtered Internet computers for teens in grades 7-12 are available in the Teen Zone.

The Children’s Department is located on the basement level of the main library. Here you will find:

For Teens
The Teen Zone is located on the mezzanine floor above the Tech Center. This special area designed for grades 7-12 includes:

  • Teen fiction
  • Seating areas for study, socializing and laptop use
  • Computers for Teens
  • Graphic novels (located on the 2nd floor)

Other Items
The following items are located on the first floor of the main library:

  • Family movies (rated PG and higher)
  • Teen audiobooks
