Fifty-One Years of Freedom: Wyoming’s Suffrage Story, 1869-1920 @ Ramkota Hotel
Sep 3 @ 6:30 pm – 8:00 pm

Celebrate Wyoming Women’s Suffrage with the Natrona County Library on Thursday, September 3rd at 6:30 p.m. at the Ramkota Hotel. In 1869 Wyoming made history as the first U.S. territory to give women the right to vote. Fifty-one years later, the nation followed Wyoming’s lead. Historian, Kylie Louise McCormick will offer a fresh take on a longstanding controversy, offering critical new evidence to Wyoming’s suffrage story and restoring the contributions to the movement made by both Dr. Grace Raymond Hebard and Esther Hobart Morris. The Ramkota Hotel meeting room can safely accommodate up to 75 within social distancing guidelines. Call 577-7323 or visit our website for more information.
