Tween Monday: I Survived @ Crawford Room

Based on the popular book series ?I Survived? by Lauren Tarshis, the Natrona County Library will offer a series of STEAM activities connected to historic events, natural disasters, and other topics for children in grades 4-6 on Monday, January 14 at 4 p.m. Make a boat out of aluminum foil and see if it floats at the “I Survived the Sinking of the Titanic, 1912” station. Construct buildings with Legos on a cookie sheet and then shake the pan to see what happens to the buildings at the “I Survived the San Francisco Earthquake, 1906” station. Make a tornado in a bottle at the “I Survived the Joplin Tornado, 2011” station, track sharks online at the “I Survived the Shark Attacks of 1916” station, or create a hurricane at the “I Survived Hurricane Katrina, 2004” station. Dot Journaling Meet-Up: New Year Set-Up @ Crawford Room

Teen Anime Club @ Crawford Room

Teen Harry Potter Club is taking a break for the semester, and by popular request, Teen Anime Club will take over the third Thursday spot. Teens in 7th-12th grade are invited to bring their ideas, interests, and anime knowledge to the group on Thursday, January 17 at 4 p.m. at the Natrona County Library. Join fellow anime enthusiasts around Casper, where otaku and noobs alike come to hang out, explore Japanese culture, enjoy anime, showcase cosplay, munch on Pocky, and borrow from the library’s extensive manga and anime collection. Experience Virtual Reality @ Crawford Room
