Monthly DIY Challenge: Bottle Brush Trees @ Creation Station

Participate in the Natrona County Library’s free DIY Challenge for fun monthly craft projects! Stop by the Creation Station anytime during regular library hours to complete December’s DIY challenge: festive holiday bottle brush trees made from unique materials such as yarn and cork. All supplies provided at no cost. The Library’s Creation Station is a flexible, community, collaborative makerspace for individuals and small groups of all ages who can use STEAM-related supplies and equipment to bring their inventions and creations to life. Tween Monday: Christmas Ornaments & Cocoa @ Crawford Room

The Natrona County Library will host a holiday-themed craft program for students in grades 4–6 on Monday, December 9 at 4 pm. Transform jar lids into winter scenes perfect for hanging on your tree, and make adorable reindeer hot cocoa cones to save for a chilly day. Paws to Read: StoryTime with Therapy Dogs of Casper @ Crawford Room

Paws to Read with a furry friend! Dogs and handlers will attend StoryTime on the second Saturday of each month at 10:30 a.m. at the Natrona County Library. Children can sit with therapy dogs during StoryTime and spend time reading with them before and after the program. All dogs are certified and licensed through Therapy Dogs of Casper.

The Newbery Honor-winning author of “Roller Girl” is back with a heartwarming graphic novel about starting middle school, surviving your embarrassing family, and the Renaissance Faire. Hakuna matata! Kids and their adults are invited to join us at the Natrona County Library on December 28 at 2 pm for a raucous afternoon of interactive movie-watching (of the musical kind). Escape the cold and travel to Africa with your feline friends in one of everyone’s favorite live-action remakes, “The Lion King”. Then join in as we–in between mouthfuls of popcorn–belt out all the words to some of mankind’s greatest musical interludes (can you tell that we’re a big fan of this movie?).
