The Family History Center, in partnership with the Natrona County Library, will hold their first monthly FamilySearch workshop on Tuesday, February 12 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the Natrona County Library. In this month’s class, Genealogist Cindy Blevins will provide a brief lesson on using the free genealogy program FamilySearch.org, followed by a demonstration on how to create a FamilySearch account and how to add family members to your tree. Additional Family History Center volunteers will be on hand for one-on-one assistance. Computers will be available, but participants are encouraged to bring a memory storage device for saving files. Personal laptops can also be used. Pedigree charts to help you get started are available at the second floor desk at the Natrona County Library. Follow-up lessons on finding hints, sources, and hard-to-find records will follow on March 12 and April 9.
