Where the Buffalo Roam

We're excited to announce the newest member of our team! Our new life-size fiberglass buffalo, originally painted by local Wyoming artist Laura Tegenu Harmon, was generously donated by Angela Chimney in honor of her late father, James Herold. This magnificent piece of art, titled "Knight on the Town," was part of a historic fundraiser for the Nicolaysen Art Museum in 2003, where 30 beautifully painted buffaloes graced the streets of Casper.

And now the buffalo has found a new home at the Library. The community was invited to help us make our new herdmate feel welcomed by submitting name ideas. With over 200 name submissions, it was a tough choice, but the new buffalo name will be officially unveiled on Wednesday, November 15th at 2 PM at the Library. Please join us for this momentous occasion. Learn more about the naming celebration at the link below.
