    The Boys and Girls Club provides a variety of educational programs for boys and girls aged 6-18. Programs include: career development, Smart Moves, essay contests and tutoring.

  • Spalding - teaching reading through writing and phonological development (North Casper, Fort Casper, University Park)
  • Whole School Basal Programs - prescribed interventions written by textbook companies; other comprehensive reading programs such as multi-aged, integrated programs found at Woods and Park
  • Examples of NCSD classroom interventions and strategies:  Differentiated tracking, Gifted and Talented, tutorials before and after-school, specialized help, Reading teachers, Reading Recovery, school library media centers, remedial reading at Rebound, Community Learning Center, Home schooling, Home-bound tutorials, Homeless homework help, jail tutorials, Wyoming Behavior Institute schooling.

    Even Start is a family literacy program that includes three components:  adult education, early childhood education, and parent/child education.  Adult Basic Education and GED instruction is offered at North Casper School and several outreach sites.  English for speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) classes take place at North Casper School.
