Drought in Wyoming/Casper
Useful Website Links
Due to the state and the county's drought conditions of the last four years, local water restrictions will be in place during April when Nebraska exercises its North Platte River senior water rights to fill their Inland Lakes for the coming summer. During this time, we will all need to be mindful of how we use water, especially for lawn care and landscaping needs.
Experts say it will take four years of above-average precipitation to recharge the aquifers and reservoirs depleted during this time.
