The Friends of the Library is a volunteer organization which supports the Natrona County Public Library.
To foster closer relations between the Natrona County Public Library and the citizens of Natrona County; to promote knowledge of the functions, resources, services and needs of the library; to lead in the development of a program for the extension and improvement of library services and resources and to aid in the provision of adequate housing and other facilities of the library.
The Friends of the Natrona County Public Library is a non-profit (501c3) organization. We welcome others to help us advocate for the library. We raise money to support NCPL through book sales and other fundraising events. Proceeds have supported projects including Reading is Fundamental (RIF), the Edible Book Fest and Wyoming Reads.
The Friends’ Board of Directors meets the third Wednesday of each month.
The generosity of our community is very much appreciated; however, there are some items that don’t sell or are unusable due to age/condition. If you plan on donating–please ask yourself if you’d give the items to a friend–if you wouldn’t give the items to a close friend–please don’t give them to us.
Please do not donate the following items; these items are recycled immediately:
- Readers Digest Condensed books older than 2 years
- All encyclopedia sets
- National Geographic magazines more than 2 years old
- Textbooks more than 10 years old
- Cassette Tapes
- Damaged, dirty, or moldy books

Volunteers are welcome and needed for as little or as much time as they can give.
Do you have a special talent, skill or interest that you’d like to share? We are always happy to have folks donate their talents and ideas (for example, web design, artwork, data entry, etc.). It might be a great way to get some experience to add to your resume while helping out a great cause!
