Basic Cortana voice and typed commands will be covered including search queries such as checking the weather, a work schedule, or the status of a flight; turning notification on or off; creating location-based and person-based reminders; getting directions; tracking packages; requesting technical support; language translation, and sending text messages. Introduction to 3D Modeling @ Tech Center

The Natrona County Library will offer an Introduction to 3D Modeling class on Saturday, February 11 from 10 a.m. to 12 noon. Participants will come away from this workshop being able to design three-dimensional objects using a free, web-based Computer Aided Design program called Tinkercad. Tinkercad is an easy, browser-based 3D design and modeling tool. It’s also your perfect 3d printing companion, allowing you to imagine anything, and then design it in minutes. Senator Malcolm Wallop Conversations on Democracy @ Crawford Room

;The Center for Global Studies is pleased to bring the first Center for Global Studies-Senator Malcolm Wallop Conversations on Democracy program to the Natrona County Library on Saturday, February 11 at 3 p.m. featuring linked presentations focusing on democracy and U.S. foreign policy in the Middle East. The presentation features a public talk by Ambassador Gary Grappo who is the University of Wyoming’s Senior Visiting Scholar in Global Studies for 2016-17 on “Democracy in Transition: Lessons from the Middle East.” He is followed by Eric Nigh, M.A. candidate in International Studies at UW discussing “Post Conflict US Development Policy Outcomes in Iraq.” Jean Garrison, Director of the Center for Global Studies will discuss “Challenges and Opportunities in US Foreign Policy” and discuss democracy promotion as a goal for U.S. foreign policy. Tween Monday: Squishy Circuits @ Crawford Room

The Natrona County Library will host an electrifying afternoon of circuitry for students in grades 4-6 on Monday, February 13 at 4 p.m. Participants will make squishy circuits with conductive playdough. Squishy Circuits uses conductive and insulating play dough to teach the basics of electrical circuits in a fun, hands-on way. There?s no need for breadboards or soldering—just add batteries and pre-made dough (or make your own dough with the provided recipes). Free and open to the public. Gameplay will last for approximately 10 minutes per player. Tickets will be handed out at the beginning of the event, available on a first-come, first-served basis to the first 25 attendees. The HTC Vice is provided by the Natrona County Library Foundation.
