Meet Jackie Robinson: Pride & Passion event November 18, 2009 6:30 p.m. Natrona County baseball fans have an opportunity to “Meet Jackie Robinson” Wednesday, November 18 at 6:30 p.m. at the Natrona County Public Library. Actor Gregory Gibson Kenney will give a dramatic portrayal of Jackie Robinson's life, from his childhood in Pasadena, CA, to the Major League doors he helped open for African Americans in 1947. This event is held in conjunction with the travelling exhibition, “Pride and Passion: The African-American Baseball Experience,” available for viewing during regular library hours November 12 through January 15. Pride and Passion: The African-American Baseball Experience, a traveling exhibition for libraries, was organized by the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum, Cooperstown, New York, and the American Library Association Public Programs Office, Chicago.
