Spanish Materials @ your library

¿Se habla español? Do you know someone who does? If so, Natrona County Public Library is the place to visit for information, entertainment and reading pleasure in Spanish.

Spanish speakers will find many materials in the “Español” collection as well as in the Children’s Department. Movies, fiction and nonfiction from popular authors, health and consumer information, children’s books and more are available. The magazines “Christina” and “Buen Hogar,” which are packed with fashion tips and the latest gossip, are also popular choices.

A $300 grant from the Literacy Volunteers of Casper has made it possibly for NCPL to purchase a number of new materials in Spanish. This includes such bestsellers as “Mi Vida” (My Life), by Bill Clinton, and “ El Código Da Vinci,” (The Da Vinci Code) by Dan Brown. Other popular titles are “ Los Cuatro Acuerdos: Una Guía Practica para la Libertad Personal” (The Four Agreements Wisdom Book: A Practical Guide to Personal Freedom), by Miguel Ruiz, and “El Huracan Lleva Tu Nombre” (The Hurricane Has Your Name), by Jaime Bayly.

Materials are also available for those wishing to improve their English skills, including “Instant Immersion Inglés” on CD and the DVD “Adiós Accent.”

If you have suggestions about a book, movie or other material in Spanish or English that you would like to see added to the library, please fill out a purchase suggestion card available at any of the service desks. Soon these cards, along with our general information brochures, will be available in Spanish as well. We strive to meet the needs of all readers in our community and gladly welcome suggestions and comments.

Nuevas clientes de la biblioteca pueden consultar el folleto general, en español, que explice las políticas de circulación, servicios para niños y adultos, y más. Gente que habla español pueden pedir materiales con una tarjeta sugerencia de la compra, en español. Nos Esporzamos por satisfacer las necesidads de los usarios en la comunidad y recibimos sus sugerencias con satisfacción.
