All ages are invited to Family Game Night to play Dutch Blitz at the Natrona County Library on Tuesday, November 28 at 6:30 p.m. Pizza will be provided by the Friends of the Library at no cost to participants. Dutch Blitz is a fast-paced, real-time, multiplayer card game involving multiple decks of playing cards. Teen Book Club: The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian @ Metro Coffee Co.

A teen book discussion, sponsored by the Natrona County Library, will be held on Tuesday, November 28 at 6:30 p.m. at Metro Coffee Co. This month’s novel is “The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian” by Sherman Alexie. The group is open to teens in grades 9-12. Participants receive a free drink at Metro, courtesy of the Friends of the Library. To participate, pick up a copy of “The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian” in the Library’s Teen Zone. Grab a bag of books at the Winter Bag Sale on Saturday, December 2 from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Natrona County Library. Grocery bags of books are $3 each and larger, tote-sized bags of books are $5 each. The sale includes used books at great prices, in all genres and for all age groups. Other items for sale include movies, music, puzzles, and magazines. Accepted payment methods include cash, local checks, and PayPal as well as credit and debit cards. Gingerbread House Workshop @ Crawford Room

The Natrona County Library will hold a Gingerbread House Workshop on Sunday, December 10 from 2 to 4 p.m. Families and individuals may stop by at their leisure between 2 and 4 p.m. to build and decorate gingerbread houses out of graham crackers, frosting and candy. Attendees will be seated on a first come, first served basis. Seating is limited to 50 people at a time. The event is free and open to the public. All building materials and decorations will be provided at no cost.

Photo Editing with GIMP @ Tech Center

The Natrona County Library will offer a Photo Editing class on Friday, May 19 from 1 to 4 p.m. Learn how to use GIMP, a free and powerful alternative to Photoshop, during this extended three-hour class. Basic concepts for photo editing (or manipulation) will be covered, including how to color correct an image, adjust the levels, adjust the hue and saturation, sharpen the image, tweak the brightness and contrast, and add a vignette.
